About my Teaching Method and Books

Welcome to the world of creative music education, where learning meets inspiration. As a dedicated musician and educator with years of experience, I have developed a series of innovative method books designed to transform the way students learn and play music. Whether you’re a beginner or advancing through your musical journey, my approach combines brain science, music education, and a deep understanding of pedagogy to guide students on a path of discovery.

Start with “Musical Monsters” for a playful introduction to 3-note melodies and basic rhythms, then advance through “Beat Bots” to begin hand independence and 5-note melodies. Continue your journey with “Jurassic Rock,” where articulation, dynamics, and phrasing take center stage, and push your skills further with “Misfit Maestros,” a book that challenges students to reach a nuanced level of playing. Finally, experience “Show Time,” where all your hard work culminates into reading on the full staff in all twelve major keys.

Each book in this series builds on the previous, ensuring students not only learn to play but also develop a lifelong connection with music. My methods focus on creativity, rhythm, ear training, and sight-reading, empowering students to master their instruments with confidence and joy.

Explore my collection of method books and discover how these resources can elevate your musical journey. Whether you’re a teacher seeking fresh, effective materials or a student eager to explore new horizons, these books offer the tools you need to succeed.
